初節句とは何ですか？

初節句とは、お子様が生まれて初めて迎えるお節句のことです。女の子の場合は、生まれて初めて迎える3月3日（ひな祭り）、男の子の場合は5月5日（端午の節句）が初節句です。
初節句は、子供が生まれて初めての節句ですから、本来は3月3日や5月5日に生まれても、その日が初節句です。しかし実際のお祝いは、一般的には、お宮参り（生後30日前後）を基準とし、生まれて初めての節句の日がお宮参り以前に来る場合は、お祝いを翌年に延ばすことが多いようです。
